Overview

Renewable Energy Consultant is responsible for conducting comprehensive techno‑economic analyses, feasibility assessments, and market evaluations for projects across the clean energy spectrum—including solar, floating solar, wind, hybrid systems, and battery energy storage. The role blends strong analytical capabilities with domain expertise in energy systems, enabling informed strategic and investment decisions for clients in the renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors.

This position requires the ability to perform financial modelling, regulatory analysis, and due diligence while effectively communicating insights to senior stakeholders. The consultant also contributes to business development activities, proposal preparation, and the development of strategic advisory solutions for clients in utilities, government bodies, renewable developers, and international markets.

The Role

The Renewable Energy Consultant provides techno‑economic, financial, and strategic advisory services for a wide portfolio of renewable energy projects. The role involves assessing project viability, evaluating market and policy landscapes, supporting investment transactions, and delivering high‑quality client insights. The consultant works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive decision‑making for clean energy investments, while also contributing to business expansion in emerging renewable sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct techno-economic assessments and feasibility studies for renewable energy projects including solar, floating solar, wind, hybrid systems, and energy storage.
  • Perform market analysis, policy review, and regulatory assessments to evaluate renewable energy opportunities and investment environments.
  • Develop financial models, cost benchmarking, and tariff analysis to assess project viability and support investment decisions.
  • Support investment advisory, due diligence, and transaction support for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and strategic insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to proposal development and business development initiatives in emerging clean energy sectors.

Skills & Experience


Qualification and Required Skills:

  • Masters degree in Engineering, Energy Systems or related disciplines.
  • 3-7 years of experience in renewable energy consulting, project development, advisory, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, power markets, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in techno-economic analysis, feasibility studies, and financial modelling for energy projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear client insights.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with utilities, renewable energy developers, investors, or government institutions.
  • Exposure to large-scale solar, floating solar, hybrid systems, or battery energy storage projects.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy policies, tariff mechanisms, and power market structures in India and emerging markets.
  • Exposure to working with International clients
