The role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the People & Culture Manager to drive our end-to-end

hiring across Australia, ensuring we attract, engage, and hire exceptional people who align with our

vision and values. In this role, you will partner closely with leaders to understand their workforce

needs, design effective sourcing strategies, and deliver a high-quality candidate experience that

reflects nxzen’s culture. You’ll work across a range of roles and levels, so adaptability, curiosity, and

strong stakeholder management are essential. This is a hands-on position where you will own the

recruitment lifecycle, introduce process improvements, and provide market insights to influence

strategic workforce decisions.

Responsibilites

  • Own end-to-end recruitment including networking, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer, background checks, onboarding etc.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles.
  • Work with People & Culture Manager and Marketing teams to strengthen nxzen’s Employer Brand and Talent Attraction Strategies.
  • Develop and refine job descriptions, adverts, and selection criteria.
  • Conduct background checks and organize onboarding and induction of new joiner.
  • Implement structured interview and assessment practices.
  • Maintain respectful, clear and timely communication with candidates.
  • Support in planning, managing and delivering on recruitment budget.
  • Advise on job market conditions, salary benchmarks, hiring strategies, the best practices in recruitment and help implement appropriate best practices in the organization.
  • Leverage latest technology to support hiring needs and ensure best hiring solutions are deployed.
  • Create reporting and analytics models for recruitment to generate regular reports.
  • Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion principles are embedded in hiring process.
  • Manage agency relationships where required and with approval, optimising cost and outcomes.


The candidate

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management/Business/Psychology or relevant fields from an accredited and renowned university or college.
  • 3–5+ years’ end-to-end recruitment or talent acquisition experience recruiting in the Australian market across various role types.
  • Proven ability to partner with and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong sourcing skills (job portals, databases, talent pooling, network, referrals)
  • Excellent communication, interviewing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth or changing environment.
  • Sound understanding of Australian employment, privacy legislation and safe hiring practices.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and high-quality candidate experience.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities and roles simultaneously.

Desirable Experience & Attributes

  • Prior experience in hiring Information Technology and Engineering fields is advantageous.
