We are seeking a highly accomplished Platform Enterprise Architect to lead the design, modernization, and optimization of enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes), datacenter migrations, middleware, and front-end hosting systems. This role requires deep architectural expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of transforming legacy infrastructure into modern, scalable, and automated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
· Design, document, and drive implementation of target-state IT architectures for large enterprise environments.
· Translate strategic, functional, and non-functional requirements into technical specifications and end-to-end solution architectures.
· Conduct architecture reviews, audits, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and technology roadmaps.
· Create detailed architectural diagrams, process flows, and system documentation.
Cloud & Infrastructure Modernization
· Lead cloud adoption initiatives leveraging Azure and AWS Cloud Platform.
· Architect and support workloads on cloud hypervisors, container platforms, and Kubernetes-based orchestration frameworks.
· Recommend modern infrastructure solutions to enhance operational performance, scalability, and availability.
Datacenter Migration & Transformation
· Lead large-scale datacenter consolidation and application migration programs across UK regions.
· Develop migration strategies for middleware, frontend services, DNS, and identity systems.
· Oversee modernization initiatives including DNS transformation, identity re-engineering, and cloud orchestration POCs.
Operations & Service Delivery
· Provide steady-state support for cloud and on-prem workloads ensuring 24×7 availability.
· Drive performance fine-tuning initiatives to improve application and infrastructure efficiencies.
· Reduce MTTR through proactive monitoring, dashboards, and automation initiatives.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams for RCA, defect prevention, and continuous improvement programs.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
· Lead multi-disciplinary teams across architecture, operations, and migration programs.
· Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment with business objectives, SLAs, and delivery goals.
· Oversee vendor management, project estimations, budgets, and compliance with delivery frameworks.
